Mechanix has developed the Breacher FR Nomex based in particular on the experience gained in the intervention units. The focus has been on protective properties without limiting functionality. The glove has D3O protection at the knuckles and a thermal plastic coating on the knuckles to protect these areas intensively against blunt blows. D3O padding on the palm of the hand reduces shock and vibration. Additional protection for the back of the hand and fingers is provided by Nomex®, which is used in these areas and minimizes the possibility of heat and flame injuries.
